My husband and I love it here at Shake It Up. Whether you are a novice or seasoned dancer, young or old, the experienced staff make you feel welcome. Our primary instructor, Kris, is an energetic professional and an experienced coach. Her teaching style is flexible, which appeals to both my husband and me since we each have a different learning style.
This is a fun, upbeat dance studio with a caring team of instructors that attract a wide array of dancers. The weekly dance parties have allowed us practice, and I like the way Shake It Up showcases and values both novice and professional dancers alike. It's a great place to be!

After many years of stress filled lessons at that other place I walked in to Shake It Up and was surprised to find a friendly young lady that found to be the owner. After chatting for a while I signed up for some lessons and then got my next surprise on my first lesson when
my instructor tuned out to Kris from that other place one of two young ladies that helped and encouraged me so much at that other place. I quickly found that i was learning faster and much more in this fun and relaxed environment and still enjoy every
minute I spend there with Kris and Natalie and Kerry even make me coffee.

Why do I dance? Dance is my therapy; it allows me to focus. When I'm focusing on my following, frame, footwork, and musicality, I don't have room in my brain to worry about bills, work, chores, or silly drama. I'm laughing and having way too much fun to think of all those other droll things. And when I'm done, I feel lighter, freer, and so much better about everything. My issues seem much smaller and easier to manage, and aren't as heavy on my mind as before. Shake It Up Dance Studio has been the perfect place for me to explore my inner dancer, while gently guiding me to become a more technical dancer. I know I've grown and changed since I've started dancing, and I would not be the same person without it in my life. I'm so thankful for Shake It Up, and I'm not sure what I would do if it was suddenly unavailable to me. I know that I have come a long way with all that I've learned, but I know there's still so much left for me to pursue and conquer.
Why should you dance? Dancing frees the mind and spirit, while working your body. It's an amazingly easy way to stay active, with little-to-no impact. It is a fantastic way to build confidence. Shake It Up offers a great way to meet new people and make new friends. It's one of the few venues where you can act silly, serious, and sexy, wildly and creatively. Dancing is an opportunity to learn something new, break out of a routine, and learn more about you. It's such an amazing feeling to let go and have fun. And once you've gained some skills, it's astonishing what you can accomplish in a short time, looking back at where you started. And who knows, maybe it will blossom into a life-long passion you never let go
